– Starting in the bustling Siem Reap and end in the capital city of Phnom Penh, the journey takes you off the beaten path and into the heart of rural Cambodia. Cycling Cambodia through verdant countryside, you’ll witness picturesque rice paddies, quaint villages, and the serene Mekong River. The slower pace of a bike allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings and engage with locals along the way.

– One of the highlights of the tour is the visit to the famous Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant archeological sites in Southeast Asia. The ancient temples, including Angkor Thom and the Bayon, will leave you awe-struck with their intricate carvings and grandeur.


Day 1 Siem Reap On Arrival (D)
A warmest welcome you at the REP Airport for a short transfer to the hotel in Siem Reap center and enjoy your first impression in Cambodia by your own way until our guide take you to the finest restaurant for our welcome dinner. Overnight at 4 star hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 2 Siem Reap, Angkor Complex (B, L, D/Cycling 35km+)
Today we’ll drive a short distance to Angkor Wat to collect our bikes which we will use for the rest of our trip, then set off to discover several of the ancient temple cities by bike. We cycle to the impressive Ta Prohm Temple, which remains in the clutches of the encroaching jungle. Here we spend time visiting the temple, before pedaling along small hidden trails to the ruins at Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terraces, the Bayon, Baphoun and Preah Khan.

In the afternoon we’ll visit magnificent Angkor Wat with its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. At the end of the day we cycle back to our hotel. Our total cycling distance today is approximately 35 kilometers. 80% of today’s riding is off road but not technical.

Today we will leave the crowds behind on a cycle ride to the small village of Rolous where we visit the temples, before continuing to a local market. After a rest and time to explore the stalls we take a boat to the floating village of Kompong Phluk. Our ride through rural Cambodia offers plenty of opportunities to once more connect with local people. The fascinating village of Kompong Phluk is built on stilts in Tonle Sap Lake. Its residents live a communal lifestyle and you will see everything from floating pig pens to young children paddling around in what looks like a bowl selling souvenirs and singing songs.

After our boat trip we enjoy a home hosted lunch where we can ask questions and learn about local cuisine as well as everyday life. In the afternoon we take our bus to visit Banteay Srey, where we collect our bikes again and cycle 25 kilometers to either East Mebon to enjoy watching the sunset, before either cycling or driving back to Siem Reap. Our total cycling distance today is approximately 56 kilometers.

Day 4 Siem Reap – Kampong Thom (B, L, D/Cycling 55 km+)
Following your breakfast at the hotel, you will have a long bike ride though the villages of Kampong Thom. Explore local life on dirt track, through villages, charming temples where you may see the interesting traditional wedding of local people with many stops at with locals and their temples. After lunch, we get in the vehicle and go ahead to the hotel and arrive there in late afternoon. Overnight in Kampong Thom!

Day 5 Kampong Thom to Phnom Penh (B, L/Cycling 60 km+)
Today We will have a long drive on the comfortable A/C vehicle about 3 hours in the morning to the crossing ferry to TonlĂ© Sap’s island, the huge beautiful countryside will be open for your challenge. We tailor your 35km ride over the silk-worm village, including a visit to a local farm and taste tropical fruits. This is a good opportunity for you to purchase some nice little presents for family and friends back home.

Afternoon, we get out of bustling Phnom Penh to take a motorized boat about 2 hours on Tonle Sap River, that provides you with picturesque view of Royal Palace, Skyline of Phnom Penh. Leisurely enjoy your relaxing sunset until our team picks you up for dinner & discover one more night by your own way.


Day 6 Phnom Penh City (B/Rest day)
You will have a full free day today, and travel by your own way or following our suggested highlights include Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum.

Day 7 Phnom Penh to Krong Takaeo (B, L, D/Cycling 60 km+)
We’ll cycle to Tonle Bati for a local lunch before heading to Phnom Chiso. The summit can be reached via a 180-step climb and offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Later, we’ll arrive at Takeo for the night.

We’ll drive from Takeo to the gate of Kabas, and then cycle to the charming Khmer town of Angkor Borei. From there, we’ll ride to Phnom Da where we’ll relax and continuing to Krong Kaeb.

Day 9 Kaeb – Krong Kampot (B, L/Cycling 35 km+)
In the morning, we’ll leave Kaeb and head for the limestone caves of Phnom Sia. We’ll continue to cycle until we reach the seaside town of Kep, where we’ll take a boat trip to the beautiful Rabbit Island for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. We’ll then return to Kampot for the night.

We’ll drive through the fertile Bokor National Park with its abandoned hill station, stopping for lunch at Po Pok Vil waterfalls for some rest. After, we’ll have a relaxing cycle to Veal Rihn. We’ll end the day in the quiet beach resort town of Sihanoukville.

We’ll cycle to the Ream Maritime National Park complete with mangrove forests, offshore coral reefs, and fishing villages. We’ll take some time to explore the jungles and mangrove swamps by boat, and Cambodia Bike Tours’ll visit a fishing village and a small tropical island. After, we’ll boat back to the port and cycle back to Sihanoukville.
