💢 Day 1: Saigon on Arrival (D/No Cycling)
The trip starts as we arrive in Saigon. We will be greeted by our guide who will transfer us to our hotel, where we can rest and get a feel of the city. Also known as Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon is a bustling metropolis that is a perfect representation of modern-day Vietnam. The city is a hub of activity, and it is always alive with locals going about their day.
In the afternoon, we will have a tour of the city on a bike. We will explore the local markets, visit some of the ancient pagodas, including the famous Jade Emperor Pagoda. We will also stop by some of Saigon’s historical landmarks, such as the Opera House and the Notre-Dame Basilica.
💢 Day 2: Saigon – Lagi (B, L/Cycling 50 km)
We will start our cycling journey. We will leave Saigon in the morning and cycle towards Lagi, in the Binh Thuan province. Our route will take us through some of the beautiful countryside, small villages, and lush green rice paddies. We will stop somewhere along the way for lunch, where we can try the local cuisine.
We will continue cycling in the afternoon towards Lagi, an idyllic little town that is known for its beautiful beaches and colorful temples. Upon arrival, we will explore the beautiful pagoda complex, which is famous for its spectacular architecture, stunning mosaics, and intricate carvings.
💢 Day 3: Lagi – Mui Ne (B, L/Cycling 60km)
We will continue our journey towards Mui Ne, which is known for its stunning beaches, towering sand dunes, and crystal-clear waters. We will start early in the morning and cycle along the coastal road, which offers beautiful views of the ocean.
As we reach Mui Ne, we will check into our hotel, which is located right on the beach. We will have some time to relax and enjoy the beach before heading out to explore the city. Mui Ne is also famous for its seafood, and we will have the opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous dinner by the beach, with the sound of the waves lapping in the background.
💢 Day 4: Mui Ne – Nha Trang (B, L/Cycling 65km)
On the fourth day, we will cycle to Phan Rang Thap Cham, a beautiful coastal town located about 130 kilometers north of Mui Ne. The route takes us along the coastline, and we will see some stunning cliffs overlooking the sea.
In the afternoon, we will transfer to Nha Trang, which is known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters. We will have an afternoon of relaxation and can take a boat trip to some of the nearby islands, where we can snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear waters.
💢 Day 5: Nha Trang boat and beach relaxation (B, L/No Cycling)
On the fifth day, we will take a break from cycling and enjoy a day off in Nha Trang. We will have the opportunity to relax on the beach, stretch our legs, and soak up the sun. We will also take a boat trip to some of the nearby islands, where we can snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear waters.
💢 Day 6: Nha Trang – Quy Nhon (B, L/Cycling 55 km)
On the sixth day, we will start cycling again, and our destination for the day will be Quy Nhon city. Our route will take us through some stunning coastal roads, with the ocean on one side and the lush green countryside on the other. We will make several stops along the way, including at some of the small fishing villages.
As we arrive in Quy Nhon, we will have some time to explore the city, which is known for its many temples, pagodas, and historical landmarks. We will also have dinner at a local restaurant, where we can try some of the local delicacies.
💢 Day 7: Quy Nhon – Hoi An (B, L/Cycling 45km)
On the seventh day, we will continue our journey towards Hoi An. The route takes us through some stunning countryside, small villages, and green rice paddies. We will stop for lunch at a roadside cafe, where we can try some of the local street food.
As we reach Hoi An, we will check into our hotel, which is located in the heart of the old town. We will have an afternoon of relaxation, followed by a walking tour of the city. We will explore the Ancient Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its rich history, architecture, culture, and captivating ambiance.
💢 Day 8: Hoi An walking, cycling, cooking (B, L, D/Cycling 25km)
On the final day of the trip, we will explore Hoi An on foot and on bikes. We will start with a morning bike ride to the outskirts of the city, where we can see some of the local villages, which are known for their pottery and handmade crafts.
In the afternoon, we will take a cooking class, where we can learn how to prepare some of the local dishes. We will also have some free time to explore the city on foot and do some shopping for souvenirs.
In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner, where we can toast to a memorable trip. We will bid goodbye to our guide and fellow travelers for ending Vietnam Coast on Two Wheels 8 days.
